Copper

Handler- Mary Len Stanton

Copper arrived at a farm in Oklahoma looking for humans who could appreciate his warm, brown eyes, his "puppy face," and his friendly and playful nature, preferably humans that wouldn't leave him to fend for himself along the highway (as he doubtless had been). The humans on the farm were just such people! However, as they already had five other dogs, they sent him to live with us in Texas and we are much the richer for it!
In our house in Texas lives another Divine Canine (now retired) who has helped Copper learn the ways of Divine Canines. From her he learned that the car is not to be feared, but will take you to magical places; he's learned to watch the people carefully and follow their directions and you will likely earn treats, walks and massages; he has learned to sniff out humans who are in need of some soft fur and gentle doggy attention. So now, Copper has embarked on his new career as a "pet therapist," too, and continues the tradition begun by his mentor and friend.
Copper is handsome and brave! Copper is curious and playful! He loves kids - especially the fingers that usually smell like something delicious! Copper loves pillows and to rearrange them around the house! He will pose regally for photos, especially if he has on his Superman outfit! Copper is a wonderful, "full-bred" brown dog!
