I have always had a companion dog even as a military dependent and later as a spouse of a Military Officer moving around the world, my family always instilled, “if we go-they will go with us” rule. My whole life I always wanted a Collie and when the time in my life when the timing was right, I did my research and joined the Collie Club to learn as much as I could. The day I met Moose, I had driven to New Braunfels with my 11-year-old rescue sheltie Winnie. When we pulled up the big house on the farm, I saw a collie puppy playing with a ram and peacock and thought any dog that can get along with and peacock has to be the collie for me! When I was presented with the puppy, we looked at each other and knew we had our new family. Since then, Moose has gotten along with every animal he encounters!
